ABOUT RANKINGS OFFICE

Several worldwide university rankings are announced annually based on certain variables/metrics. These widely read rankings contribute to the acknowledgement of a university’s performance, including the quality of research, teaching, employability, and sustainability. At Ege University, under the Office for Institutional Development, Planning, and Monitoring, the Rankings Office was established in 2020 as a reinforcement force to contribute to the university's national and international performance and the true measurement of its qualities. There are two main objectives of the office:

• Inform policymakers about possible strategies to move Ege University to a stronger position in the rankings

• Identify the institution’s aspects with room for improvement in terms of ranking indicators, and contribute to the empowerment of the school by providing coordination and information.

In line with these objectives, the office delivers efforts for:

- Examination of university ranking methodologies

- Collecting and sharing relevant data with the ranking institutions.

- Developing strategies based on ranking projections

- Contributing to Ege University’s important and broad activities on sustainability and social responsibility

- Contributing to the internationalization process of the institution
